We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, customer service/sales-oriented Tasting Room Supervisor. We are a family winery bringing award winning Texas wines to our customers, striving to make new friends feel like they are part of the family. The strong base of any winery is the tasting room staff and we are looking for a positive leader to inspire wine ambassadors for the winery and its brand. They are the first faces that connect with our customers. This position requires an outgoing personality & the ability to lead and inspire your team.
Qualifications
At least 1-2 years in management/sales and winery industry.
Leadership skills & ability to effectively manage your team in a positive manner.
Must be able to problem solve while providing impeccable customer service.
Must have a current TABC & Food Handlers certificate.
Must be able to work the majority of weekends, some holiday and after-hour events.
Willingness to learn about our story,wines and products while communicating & training fellow staff members.
Must be able to work at a fast pace and multitask with an energetic, upbeat attitude.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain an employee work schedule for optimum staff coverage.
Tracking and maintaining tasting room inventory.
Stock inventory as needed for each weekend or event.
Keep current inventory of food items to ensure ample stock.
Encourage team members to promote sales & wine club sign-ups.
Arrive on time, complete opening and closing procedures.
Greet customers upon arrival and have the knowledge to explain our wines and conduct the tasting experience
Knowledge of the POS system
As a team role model, always conduct yourself in a professional manner, as you directly represent the winery.
Ask questions and seek help if issues arise that may affect a customer's experience or outlook on the business.
