The Department of Multidisciplinary Innovation (DMI) at UNT at Frisco invites applications for an open-rank clinical faculty member to teach and mentor students in several DMI undergraduate programs, beginning Fall 2024. We seek a candidate with a multidisciplinary background who has the credentials to teach undergraduate courses in enology, viticulture, and/or brewing (minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline).

The successful candidate will teach enology, viticulture, and brewing courses within multiple DMI programs. Classes may include, but are not limited to, Fundamentals of Viticulture, Principles of Enology, Principles of Brewing, Sensory Evaluation, Business Management in Beer and Wine, Distribution and Regulations in Beer and Wine. In addition to being a part of existing DMI programs, these classes are in the process of being approved to be offered as a part of a minor in Enology and Brewing. All DMI programs have project-based learning curricula that require creativity and collaboration among faculty as well as cross-course multidisciplinary integration. Priority will be given to candidates who can contribute toward multiple aspects of DMI programs. Candidates with an emphasis in one or more of the following topics are strongly encouraged to apply: enology, viticulture, brewing, distillation, project management, interpersonal/organizational communication.
